  • Manual skills, good technical understanding, motivation, pro-activeness and enthusiasm for new things

What you will learn

General

  • Basic course working with a vice: final products resulting from your subtasks are a pneumatic piston engine and a tractor – works that you can take with you when finished
  • Basic course milling (pipe vice), turning (pneumatic motor), measuring, drilling and bending (barbecue tong)
  • Each year: regular trainings to boost your social skills and personal competencies

  • Electronic engineering course
  • Basic course technical drawing and introduction of CAD-system
  • Pneumatics course
  • Welding and soldering course
  • Gear course
  • Bearings course
  • Assembly of smaller modules
  • Deployment in various departments:

    • in tool making, you learn assembly and set-up of tools
    • in the tool crib, you get an overview over the diversity of existing tools
    • in production (sheet metal production and - processing, plumbing) you get insights into assembly (plastics welding and lubrication technology) and quality control

  • On voluntary basis:

    • become involved in a social project in a psychotherapeutic children’s home, „Haus Aichele“, in Beuren
    • Preservation of a juniper heath (Herz für Orchideen)

  • Training period: 3,5 years. Subject to good performance, the duration of the apprenticeship can be shortened
